JCHS Hires Director of Development and Community Engagement

The Jackson County Historical Society is pleased to announce that Christian Shuster has been hired as our new Director of Development and Community Engagement.

Christian’s role at JCHS will be to provide support to our Executive Director, Chris Stout, in fundraising, grant writing, corporate partner development, and marketing. Christian will also assume all JCHS membership engagement to look for new exciting ways to engage with our lifetime and annual members.

On top of his fundraising and membership duties, Christian will be an essential leader in our events - from the Annual Dinner, to new exciting events including a gala fundraiser and Mugshots - a unique fundraising experience for the 1859 Jail Museum. Christian will also coordinate with Danielle Hall, our Archivist/Education Director to create monthly events around Jackson County that are engaging and educational. He will also be important in developing relationships with our area school districts to provide important historical opportunities for students across the Jackson County area.

Christian can be reached at cshuster@jchs.org
