Jackson County Historical Society is Non-Profit of the Year

On October 2020, the Independence Chamber of Commerce awarded the Jackson County (Missouri) Historical Society the “Non-Profit of the Year 2020” business award. We are honored to receive this award based on our efforts with preserving the history of Independence at the Jackson County Historical Society and our dedication to saving the presence of the 1859 Jail, Marshal’s Home and Museum on the Independence Square.
