New JCHS Journal just published

JCHS has revived publication of its popular Journal with the recent publication of a 32-page full color issue - the first journal since the spring of 2010.

The journal includes articles about county courthouses, George Caleb Bingham, Kansas City gospel music, the Kansas City Athletics, a grasshopper plague and several other articles.

We are so excited about the new journal we want to share copies electronically for those who sign up.

This is our holiday gift to history lovers.

We hope you will enjoy The Journal and support efforts to publish two editions annually. We are currently working on a Summer 2014 edition.

The new volunteer editorial board is looking for articles about Jackson County and the region for a general audience. Manuscripts submissions are welcomed. The editorial board is headed by Brad Pace.

Past Journals from 2002 to 2010 are available at no charge on our website to download as searchable PDF files.
