JCHS receives Truman Heartland gift
The Jackson County Historical Society has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Truman Heartland Community Foundation to equip the Brady Courtroom for public programming.

The Brady Courtroom is located on the second floor of the Truman Courthouse on the Independence Square. The courthouse, recently reopened, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
JCHS recently moved its administrative offices and research archives back into the courthouse.
The last active use of the Brady Courtroom was by Judge Vernon Scoville who held court in the historic setting.
