"The Kansas City That Never Was...."

The Pitch began a new series of articles today, looking back to various projects and structures that were planned, but never built, here in the Kansas City area.

Charles Ferruzza takes a look at the original design for Truman Sports Complex and its rolling roof.  Retired Jackson County Public Works Director Jerry Page recently donated two original 1960's design study books to JCHS, and these documents offer unique insights into this iconic complex.

See page 23 of this week's Pitch, and watch for additional stories in this series through the summer.
