Throughout October the Jackson Co. Historical Society and Paranormal Activity Investigators are hosting Ghost Tours and Investigations at the 1859 Jail Museum!
There will be three different types of events throughout the month that people can chose from:
TOURS: JCHS and Paranormal Activity Investigators will be leading guests on guided tours of the historical 1859 Jail Museum in Independence, MO. Guests will get to hear of the history and all the ghostly tales and apparitions inside the building! Under 18 are welcome to join these tours but please remember that this is a museum full of valuable artifacts and guests will need to be cautious and attentive during the tour.
GHOST TOUR + MINI INVESTIGATION: JCHS and Paranormal Activity Investigators will lead guests on a 1-hour ghost tour through the incredibly haunted 1859 Jail Museum, sharing all the stories of the ghostly encounters and apparitions that lurk in the halls. Following the tour, Paranormal Activity Investigators will divide the guests into smaller groups and lead them on a mini ghost hunt to try and interact with the spirits of the building! Under 18 are welcome to join these tours but please remember that this is a museum full of valuable artifacts and guests will need to be cautious and attentive during the tour.
GHOST INVESTIGATION: JCHS and Paranormal Activity Investigators will take guests on a quick guided history/ghost tour of the jail. Once the tour is complete, the lights will turn off and the ghost hunting will begin! Paranormal Activity Investigators will have their own paranormal equipment and show you what a paranormal investigation is really like! We will break guests up into smaller groups to investigate the Jail, schoolhouse, and the attached Marshal's Home! This event will be over 18 only and please remember that this is a museum filled with priceless artifacts, so guests are expected to be respectful of the location."
NOTE: Please wear comfortable walking shoes as we will be on our feet most of the night. Feel free to bring cameras for pictures, video, or live streaming. Also, feel free to bring your own paranormal equipment.
This event has sold out in the past years, so tickets go fast! This is not a jump-out and scare-you kind of tour, instead, you will be learning about the grisly history of the 1859 Jail Museum and Independence Square, as well as some of the ghosts who haunt the place.
No refunds. No transfers.
