Arrowhead Stadium was originally designed to have a few extra features

“KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

It took four years to build Arrowhead Stadium. It was completed in 1972 at a cost of $43 million.

If one early architect would have had his way, Arrowhead Stadium would have a huge water fountain between it and Kauffman Stadium, as well as a monster-sized space needle tower overlooking both stadiums.”
