Jackson County Historical Society will be conducting Friday/ Saturday Night Ghost Tours in October at the 1859 Jail and Marshal’s home again this year.

We partner with Dusk 2 Dawn Paranormal and Pioneer Trails Adventure to bring you this great event.
Visitors will tour the 1859 Jail and Marshal’s Home, then go on a “spooky” covered wagon ride around the Independence Square. Tours last approximately 2 hours. Visitors can also check out equipment from Dusk 2 Dawn Paranormal during the Jail tour.

Tours are at 7, 8, and 9PM every Friday and Saturday (except Friday the 13th- special event) night in October.

Friday the 13th is Historical Hauntings at the 1859 Jail Museum!

This tour will follow the same format as the Haunted Ghost Tours, but guests will have the opportunity to "meet" some of our spirits. Visitors will spend 1 hour in the 1859 Jail and Marshal's Home, then spend 1 hour on a covered wagon meeting other "spirits." Tours begin at 7, 8, and 9PM.

This event is recommended for ages 13 and above. The cost for Historical Hauntings is $25. No refunds or exchanges.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tour times CANNOT be changed after you have purchased a ticket. No refunds. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.
